Why doesn't MRSA cause epidemics or pandemics?

If your talking about in america, then it's because we're a clean country. (for the most part!) we have access to medicines and clean water, proper food cooking techniques. However MRSA kinda evolved to be antibiotic resistant, so some people say that to much antibiotics can be a bad thing by spawning super-resistant diseases.
