DS: What are some of the creative things you have done to train your dog?

before i got my pup i read in a breed specific book that the number one killer of jack russell terriers is by being hit by a car chasing squirrels ... not wanting that to happen from 3 months to 6 months old i walked her on a short leash through "squirrel alley" in my local park ... it is where the tourists go to feed wildlife and the squirrels are plentiful and have no fear ... i walked her every day for three months and just kept walking and ignored any of her commotion at the end of the leash ... and it worked, she will not go after squirrels even 12 years later, even when off leash ...
